Classroom Expectations

  • Discipline: There are three personal standards in the classroom: 1. Be Responsible. 2. Be Respectful.  3. Be Prepared.
  • There is great emphasis on character education. Students not following classroom or school rules may lose privileges, get points taken away on class Dojo, or get a detention.
  • Supplies: Students are expected to be prepared with materials and ready to go daily.
  • Rewards: We use a monetary system in which students earn money for their good behavior and for been responsible. There are also individual rewards, such as blue slips for good character and Class Dojo points.
  • Class Dojo: An electronic system that I will be using in class to encourage positive behavior in class and to keep parents informed of their child's behavior daily.
  • Questions: I encourage students to ask lots of questions in class. If they feel uncomfortable, they may ask me after class. Please encourage them to speak up if something is wrong.
